Terms for Nannies in Mallorca

This booking document outlines the terms and conditions for Evelyn & Bloom Limited. By completing this document you confirm acceptance of these terms and conditions. 

Fee Payments and Deposits

Unless booking through a third party, when you confirm your booking by completing and returning this form, an invoice will be sent to you with the agreed booking deposit.  The payment will be required to have reached our bank account within 5 working days.  This deposit secures your booking and is non-refundable. (Please see our cancellation policy outlined below). Your booking is not guaranteed until we have received the payment of the deposit.

The remaining balance of your childcare cost must be paid directly to your nanny in €euros at the end of the booking.  Any additional childcare requirements such as evening babysitting should be agreed with the nanny and Evelyn & Bloom Ltd, with the nanny being paid both the additional agency and nanny fee in €euros.

Change of Dates

 

If you wish to change the dates of your childcare booking due to your holiday dates changing, we will endeavour to provide you with childcare during your new holiday dates.

We will charge 10% of your total childcare cost to cover the administration costs of this change. Unfortunately, if we are unable to provide you with childcare for your new holiday dates the cancellation charges set out below will apply.

Cancellation Charges

 

Should you need to cancel your childcare booking the following terms will apply:

We are unable to refund your deposit in the event of cancellation of your childcare booking as your deposit is non-refundable.

If you notify us of cancellation of your childcare booking less than 2 weeks before the start of your booking the remaining balance will need to be paid to Evelyn & Bloom Ltd so that we can reimburse the nannies for their possible loss of earnings.

Where appropriate we can provide you with a cancellation invoice issued to enable you to claim any losses from your insurance company. 

Sickness and Medication

 

If your child is unwell during your holiday your nanny will be able to provide you with the location of a local doctor/hospital or pharmacy for you to find the appropriate care needed.  In the unfortunate event that your child has an infectious illness, your nanny will be unable to continue to care for your child.  In the event of this occurrence there will no refund of the fees you have paid.

On the first day of your booking you will be asked to sign an agreement authorising our nannies to act on your behalf in circumstances when your child may need medical advice/treatment in an emergency.  Please be aware our nannies will only give medication which you have confirmed has been prescribed by a doctor to your child and your child has previously taken it so to ensure there are no adverse reactions.  You will need to provide advance written permission.  Please request a medication form for completion if you wish our nannies to do this.  Calpol (or equivalent) will only be administered to bring down a high fever and we will contact you for permission beforehand unless you have provided advance written permission.

Sickness of Your Nanny

 

If your nanny should become unwell during your stay and is unable to care for your child we will do our best to provide you with a replacement nanny. During busy periods however, this may not be possible, in this case we will refund you for any hours or days that you have not received the childcare that you have booked.  You will be refunded within 2 weeks of your departure.

Covid-19

Regarding Covid-19 we offer a free change of date or a 75% refund of your booking fee if you are unable to travel, but this is only if you are unable to travel due to government restrictions, otherwise our usual terms apply.  We also have an agreement to sign with your nanny that highlights the guidelines you and the nanny will follow during the time you work together. If you contract Covid-19 during your holiday please inform us straight away so that we can ensure the safety of the nanny.  We will not be able to refund you for any illness on your part, but if our nanny contracts Covid-19 and is unable to help, we will find you a replacement and if this is not possible we will then refund you for the unused hours the nanny cannot help you on your holiday.

Evening childcare

Additional evening childcare is available upon request and is a minimum of four hours per booking.  However, we are often very busy so please confirm your requirements as early as possible to ensure that we can help. 

Change in Agreed Times of Nanny Service

 

The hours you wish your nanny to work will be specified at the time you book your Evelyn & Bloom nanny.  If you choose to alter these times by either starting your day late or finishing your day early and therefore you do not need your nanny for all the pre-booked hours please note that no refunds will be given for any unused hours and the nanny will still be due the payment of the hours booked.

If you wish to use your nanny for any extra hours such as evening babysitting etc. then these must be agreed with the nanny and Evelyn & Bloom and the nanny will be paid directly these additional hours including the agency fee at the end of your holiday.  

Self Catered Villas/Apartments

 

All children's meals can be prepared by the nanny for your children during your nanny’s working hours. We ask that food is available for the nanny to prepare.  Please note that meals should also be included for your nanny for the hours she will be working with you. 

Hotels

 

Children staying in a hotel will need to have meals in a restaurant each day if there are no facilities for your nanny to cook or prepare lunch. In this situation please provide your nanny with a Euro float for the week to pay for drinks and food for both the children and your nanny.  Your nanny will provide you with all receipts.

Additional Booking Terms

  • A minimum of 4 hours per booking is required.

  • Bookings start from 8:00 am.

  • Ratios of nannies to number of children apply. For events these differ based on requirements.


Private nanny ratios:

One private nanny is permitted to look after:


  • two children where the youngest is under 3 years (minimum of two nannies if there are two babies)

  • three where the youngest is over 3.

Equipment Hire

 

Depending on availability we are able to provide you with a toy box at the cost of €40 per week per   Evelyn & Bloom cannot be held liable for incidents, accidents or injury arising during the use of the childcare equipment.

Medications, Allergies and Dietary Requirements

 

If your child has any allergies or dietary requirements or any medication they take regularly, it is essential that you inform us at the time of booking.  You must also confirm this information to your nanny on their first day and provide them with any necessary medication in case of an allergic reaction. This information must be given to us in writing. 

Repeat bookings
